About the Webinars

We aim to host two live professional webinars per month over Zoom. Hear from carefully selected experts in the field of premenstrual disorders as they discuss topics in Cycle Science and Clinical Practice. Ask questions and share your thoughts through chat during the presentation.

Cycle Science webinars will expand your knowledge of the foundational scientific literature on premenstrual disorders to help you develop theoretical and practical expertise in studying PMDD and PME. These webinars are geared towards scientists and scientists-in-training, but all professionals are welcome. Past topics have included ‘How to Study the Menstrual Cycle: Practical Tools and Recommendations’ and ‘Automating Dimensional Assessment of Premenstrual Disorders - Introducing the CPASS R Package.’

Clinical Practice webinars aim to increase your understanding of premenstrual disorders, grow your expertise on evidence-based treatments, and help you develop skills to bring directly into your work as a healthcare provider. These webinars are best for clinical professionals (doctors, therapists, etc.) currently in practice or in training, but all professionals can benefit. Topics have included ‘Evidence-based assessment and treatment of premenstrual disorders’ and ‘Supporting Patients Navigating PMDD/PME Related Irritability, Anger, & Rage.’

In our October 2021 Cycle Science webinar, Laura Symul, PhD, and Tory Eisenlohr-Moul, PhD introduced the CPASS R package, a framework designed to automate the diagnosis of PMDD for use in scientific studies. Members can catch an exclusive replay of this webinar in our webinar library. Join »

We need this community!

Dr. Tory Eisenlohr-Moul, Phd, Chair of the IAPMD Clinical Advisory Board

Dr. Tory Eisenlohr-Moul, PhD, is Chair of the IAPMD Clinical Advisory Board. She is a Clinical Psychologist and Associate Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago studying how the menstrual cycle influences emotions and behaviors in hormone-sensitive females.

Over the past years, IAPMD has led the way in raising awareness among patients, providing evidence-based education and support so that they could better understand and navigate their own premenstrual disorders. Now, we’re excited to expand our focus to professionals to build community and expertise among scientists and health care professionals whose work is relevant to PMDs. By providing a shared space in which professionals can share, learn, network, and advocate around their cycle-related work, we aim to increase the number of scientific laboratories and healthcare clinics that are equipped to address the public health burden of premenstrual disorders.
