Peer Support Terms of Service

The use of International Association For Premenstrual Disorders (IAPMD) Peer Support Services is bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read the following statement before using this service. By engaging in Peer Support, you agree to the terms and conditions described below. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use this service.

Modifications

This statement may be modified from time to time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting.

Liability and Nature of Services Provided

Your participation in Peer Support does not constitute mental health treatment or medical care. If you are in imminent danger or experiencing a medical emergency, contact your doctor or emergency services immediately. IAPMD, foundation staff, and foundation volunteers are not responsible for any decisions, or results of the decisions that you make while, as a result of, or after participating in Peer Support services. You assume all risk for use of this service. IAPMD and any employees, volunteers, or agents assume no liability for actions taken by you or a third party, or not taken by you or a third party, and you agree to hold us harmless for damages arising out of information provided through this service.

Privacy and Security

Your privacy is important to us. The information you share with us is voluntary. IAPMD retains no medical records created by a doctor or nurse or healthcare provider or medical billing records created by a healthcare provider. Your information and disclosures will not be shared or disclosed to a third party unless we are legally mandated to do so, in the case of child abuse/neglect, elder abuse/neglect, if you are at imminent risk of endangering yourself, and/or if there is imminent risk of others being endangered.

All chat transcript data and visitor information (IP address, browser, referring page) are stored in access controlled databases in the United States. IAPMD utilizes LiveChat to actively maintain the security to industry standards. All data that is collected is stored in an encrypted format.

IAPMD stores non-medical records on a HIPAA compliant platform.

Client Satisfaction Survey

After the conclusion of each Peer Support interaction, you will automatically receive a link to an anonymous survey so that you can provide feedback regarding the quality of the services that you received. Your participation in this survey is at will and will not affect your ability to engage in future Peer Support services.
