Join the National Centre for Mental Health for the second instalment of the Women’s Winter Webinar series to discuss the latest in premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) research.
Please note that this event takes place in Wales, UK, so will be at 12 pm GMT.
The National Centre for Mental Health are pleased to announce the second instalment of a new webinar series discussing how reproductive events such as pregnancy, the menstrual cycle and reproductive ageing impact the mental health of women and people assigned female at birth (AFAB).
Each webinar will feature our researchers discussing their latest work and may feature people with lived experience sharing their personal stories of these conditions.
We’re running these sessions to raise awareness of the conditions and they are open to the general public, not just health professionals and people with an interest in mental health research.
This session will be led by psychiatrist Professor Arianna Di Florio and Chloe Apsey and feature key insights into the ongoing PMDD research at the NCMH, including the PreDDICT study.

About NCMH
The National Centre for Mental Health (NCMH) is research centre based across Cardiff, Swansea, and Bangor Universities and our aim is to learn more about the causes and triggers of mental health diagnoses. We have a general participant cohort of over 25,000 people and also run individual surveys looking into specific diagnoses such as ADHD, bipolar, and PTSD.
Another focus of our centre’s research is dedicated to mental ill-health and reproductive life events like childbirth, menstruation, and menopause. The new webinar series is part of this important work and will aim to provide a solid basis of understanding and an introduction to these research areas.
